“On this solemn day, let us never forget that six million Jewish Sisters and Brothers along with many other people were murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust. While lives were taken, we will never forget the blessed history and remarkable contributions of those lost during those days of incomparable pain.
We must educate all people today and in the future of the past but also how heroism was born by the countless survivors who found a way to overcome such inhumane atrocities.
We must continue to speak out and establish policies against anti-Semitism, hatred, discrimation and bigotry. We must always say that we will never forget and never repeat the unacceptable treatment against our fellow Brothers and Sisters. Pain against one is a pain against us all.
